Nalina meditated accordingly. Just as the lotus grows from the mud but is not covered with the mud from which it arises, the four joys of meditation manifested themselves in the four cakras. Meditating, he was no longer enmeshed in the ills or conceptions of samsara.

In nine years, realizing the meaning of his meditations, he purified the stains of his delusions. Obtaining the siddhi of Mahamudra, for four hundred years he worked for the benefit of living beings in Saliputra. Together with 550 of his followers, he went in this very body to the realm of the Dakas.
